Terms of Service

Effective Date: June 4, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of notarizephilly.com and any appointment, inquiry, scheduling, communication, or service request submitted to Notarize Philly.

By using the website or requesting services, the user agrees to these Terms.

Services

Notarize Philly offers appointment-based notary services and related convenience services in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, including common notarial acts described on the website, subject to availability, service area, legal requirements, and case-by-case review.

Services may include mobile appointments, after-hours appointments, and document-related convenience services where offered and lawful. Travel, convenience, printing, scanning, administrative, and related fees may be separate from Pennsylvania-regulated notarial act fees.

No Guarantee of Service

Submission of a contact form, booking request, or payment inquiry does not guarantee acceptance of an appointment or completion of a notarial act. Notarize Philly reserves the right to decline, cancel, reschedule, or refuse service when required by law, safety concerns, incomplete information, unavailable scheduling, service-area limitations, invalid identification, signer incapacity, unwillingness, suspected fraud, document defects, or any other lawful reason.

Client Responsibilities

Each client and signer is responsible for:

  • Appearing in person when required by law.
  • Presenting valid, acceptable identification.
  • Ensuring documents are complete and ready for notarization, with blank signature lines where applicable.
  • Understanding the contents of the document before signing.
  • Providing accurate scheduling, contact, and location information.
  • Ensuring that all signers are willing and aware.

Valid government-issued photo identification and personal appearance are required for most notarial acts.

No Legal Advice

Notarize Philly is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice, legal representation, or document preparation services unless separately stated by a licensed attorney. Nothing on the website should be interpreted as legal advice, and users are responsible for obtaining independent legal counsel when needed.

Fees and Payment

Fees are based on the selected services, applicable Pennsylvania notary fee limits, travel distance, timing, convenience services, and any separately disclosed charges. The Services and Pricing page states that Pennsylvania notarial act fees are state-regulated and that travel, convenience, and administrative fees may be charged separately.

Payment may be required before, at, or after the appointment, depending on the service arrangement. If a scheduled appointment is canceled, missed, rescheduled, or materially changed, cancellation, travel, or administrative charges may apply to the extent disclosed by the business and permitted by law.

Scheduling and Availability

Appointment times are offered subject to confirmation and availability. Notarize Philly may reschedule appointments due to traffic, weather, emergencies, safety concerns, document issues, or other circumstances affecting service delivery.

Acceptable Use of the Website

A user may not use the website to submit false information, impersonate another person, attempt fraud, transmit malicious code, interfere with site operation, scrape site content unlawfully, or use the website for unlawful purposes.

Intellectual Property

Website content, including branding, design, text, graphics, logos, and site materials, is owned by or licensed to Notarize Philly and may not be copied, reproduced, republished, or exploited without prior written permission, except as permitted by law.

Third-Party Tools

The website may rely on third-party platforms for hosting, forms, scheduling, analytics, maps, payment processing, communications, and other business operations. Notarize Philly is not responsible for outages, interruptions, or separate terms imposed by third-party providers.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The website and services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. Notarize Philly makes no warranty that the website will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or suitable for every use, or that every requested notarization will be legally eligible for completion.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Notarize Philly will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages arising out of or related to website use, scheduling requests, third-party platform issues, refusal of service where lawful, appointment delays, or failure of a document to achieve a user’s intended legal or business result.

Any liability, if established, will be limited to the amount actually paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Indemnification

The user agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Notarize Philly from claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from the user’s misuse of the website, violation of these Terms, unlawful conduct, false statements, fraudulent acts, or documents presented in violation of law.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the website will be resolved in the appropriate courts located in Pennsylvania, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated from time to time. The updated version becomes effective when posted to the website with the revised effective date.
